Doctors Kubica, Langford and Johnson have been closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic information, including the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health organizations. Per Governor Ricketts cancelation of the directive closing optometric offices, we will be re-opening our office on Monday May 4th, 2020 for annual eye exams and eyewear purchases. Having been closed since March 19th, 2020 we are committed to keeping our patients and staff safe as we re-open during the Covid-19 pandemic. Listed below are safety measure we have implemented to reduce the risk of spread of Covid-19.
Staff Protection Procedures:
Stay home if not feeling well
Wash hands (20 second minimum) upon entering the building
Temperature will be taken and recorded. Employees with temp of greater than 100.2 F will be sent home
Employees will practice 6 foot of social distancing
Employees will be required to wear masks when in the office
Patient Protection Procedures:
Reduce the number of patients seen by 40%
Eyewear adjustments will need to make an appointment
Patients will call our office (402-330-3000) to check in for exams
Patients will wait in cars until staff is ready to start exam
Only patients will be allowed in office except for one parent accompanying a minor
We will be asking covid-19 screening questions and taking patients temperature, via touchless thermometers
All patients entering the office will be required to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer to disinfect their hands
Office Protective Procedures:
We have installed protective plastic shields at the reception desk, slit lamps and at our eyewear and contact lens dispensing stations
Continue to disinfect pretest, exam rooms and dispensing tables
Increased the frequency of cleaning public access areas
Disinfect frames after patients try them on before returning them to the optical displays
Drop ship frames from manufacture to lens lab, instead of selling frame from our display
